A little about me…

Hi, there! I am Rahul Shah. Being fascinated with “space” and all the big questions of life from an early age, I decided to devote my life to finding the answers I seek in the most logical way possible: Science! Choosing Cosmology as my primary area of interest, I am extremely passionate about computers and computation in general, with my life-long dream being the efficient and apt application of cutting-edge computational methods to the field of Cosmology, Astronomy and Astrophysics.

I claim to have both a modest skill-set and academic background relevant and pertinent to delving deep into the infinite world of research. As a highly upbeat self-motivated person but undoubtedly a team player, I believe I possess excellent communication abilities. I envisage for myself an exciting future in the scientific community and into the world of science as a whole.

Please feel free to explore summaries of some of my present, past and future work on this site. For more information and to get to know my non-academic pursuits better, head on to my personal website!

Please feel free to drop me an email at any time if you would like to collaborate, or just simply discuss physics, computation and existence (if that’s your cup of tea!)

I am currently a Senior Research Fellow (Ph.D. Student) at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, India. My current research interests lie broadly in Cosmology, with a side of High-Energy Physics and Astro-Particle Physics. I am heavily passionate about computation and the application of all sorts of cutting-edge developments in computer science and statistics to the study of the cosmos and our very existence.
